This winter, the U.S. Atlas Agro team has been on the road engaging with farmers, suppliers, customers, and partners at key grower events. The interest and excitement about our Pacific Green Fertilizer (PGF) facility has been incredible, highlighted last month by the announcement of our partnership with Lamb Weston.
What is PGF? It’s Atlas Agro’s first-of-a-kind, nitrogen fertilizer production facility that will serve farmers in the Pacific Northwest with locally produced fertilizer. Our investment in domestic manufacturing strengthens American agriculture, supports local economies, and reduces reliance on foreign fertilizer imports.
From the NW Horticulture Expo, the Far West Agribusiness Association Annual Meeting, the Potato Expo in Orlando, and the Washington and Oregon Potato Show, the Atlas Agro booth was a hub of activity with curious attendees looking for more information about our company and products.
The winter grower meetings provide an invaluable opportunity to connect directly with the people who matter most—the farmers and ag professionals who drive our industry forward. These events allow us to meet growers, strengthen relationships, and showcase Atlas Agro’s commitment to onshoring fertilizer production and creating American jobs.
A standout theme across all events was the growing interest in our nitrogen fertilizer products. We talked to Jason Ellsworth, our head agronomist, about the wide range of questions from attendees eager to understand the benefits of Atlas Agro’s products.
The most common questions we encountered were:
What is green nitrogen fertilizer?
Green nitrogen fertilizer is produced using modern, renewable energy-powered, U.S.-based production facilities rather than foreign imports using fossil fuel. Our approach strengthens domestic supply chains, supports American farmers with reliable, fixed-price fertilizers and is better for the environment.
What products will Atlas Agro offer?
Our product lineup will include a range of nitrate-based fertilizers designed to meet diverse crop needs, all produced in the U.S. with a commitment to reliability and performance.
When will Atlas Agro’s products be available?
Our fertilizers will be available to Pacific Northwest growers first, with production ramping up at our Pacific Green Fertilizer (PGF) facility approximately three years after construction begins later this year.
The energy and enthusiasm we experienced at these events reaffirm our mission to revolutionize the fertilizer industry by strengthening American manufacturing, creating jobs, reducing reliance on foreign imports, and lead the industrial transition to environmental sustainability. Thank you to everyone who stopped by our booth, asked questions and shared their perspectives. Your feedback and interest drive us to innovate and improve.
